• About me

    • I have a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Samford University, and a Master’s degree in library and information sciences from the University of Alabama. However, I'm a Buckeye through and through :)

    • I have been married to my wonderful husband, Luke, for 17 years. We have 4 children: Kate- 15, Will- 13, Hudson- 10, and Isaiah- 9. I'm originally from Birmingham, AL, but have lived in Sarasota since 2000.

    • I enjoy spending time with my family, cheering for my children at their sports activities, reading, watching Rays baseball, and playing with our 2 dogs, Chloe and Lucy.

    • I attend Grace Community Church in Lakewood Ranch.

    • I love teaching and seeing children's faces light up as they understand and learn. I want to point them to Jesus as we go through the school day. One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
